What your RV is listed against in Salt Lake City

Before you decide whether listing is worth the turnover, look at what the class you own already asks per day here. All 610 Outdoorsy listings within 50 miles of downtown were pulled on 2026-09-18 and the medians below come from that one run. Two paths follow: list it yourself, or ask about handing the work to someone else.
Median published day rate by class
A median, not an average, so one $1,795 outlier does not move it. These are published day rates before tax, fees, mileage, generator hours and any delivery charge the host sets. They are what renters see, not what an owner banks.
| Class | Listed here | Share of market | Median day rate |
|---|---|---|---|
| Class A motorhome | 37 | 6.1% | $286 |
| Class B motorhome | 58 | 9.5% | $249 |
| Class C motorhome | 151 | 24.8% | $219 |
| Camper van | 78 | 12.8% | $186.5 |
| Fifth wheel | 12 | 2% | $181 |
| Toy hauler | 22 | 3.6% | $149 |
| Travel trailer | 244 | 40% | $119 |
| Folding trailer | 8 | 1.3% | $100 |
Measured 2026-09-18 across all 610 listings. Median across the whole market $165, mean $186, range $30 to $1795. Anything computed decays, so re-check the live marketplace before you price against this.
Listings published by an owner with a single vehicle. One rig with one calendar is the ordinary case in this market, not the exception. 123 are dealer listings, and the largest single owner publishes 728.
Listings offering delivery, at a fee each host sets. 39.5% accept instant book. Both are decisions you make on the listing, and both change how much of your week the rental takes.
Roughly 28 listings accept a long-term stay. Utah Code 59-12-102(135) stops treating a rental as short-term at 30 consecutive days, so a renter looking for a month has very little to choose from here.
What the measurement cannot tell you
A day rate is not income. The marketplace publishes what a listing asks, never how many nights it books, so nothing here supports an annual earnings figure and none is printed. Utilisation, cancellation rates and the commission each marketplace keeps are all outside what was measured.
Anyone quoting you an income for a Salt Lake City RV is either using data this site does not have or making it up. Ask them which listings they measured and on what date.
Two ways to do it
List it yourself and keep the messages, the handover and the cleaning. Or ask about handing those to an operator and keeping less per night.
Owner enquiry
Tell us the class, the year and where it is parked. This is an owner form, not a renter quote form, and it books nothing. Include the length, the width mirror to mirror and the GVWR if you have them, because those three decide which Utah renters your vehicle is useful to.
Prefer to write?
There is no phone number on this site, because there is no answered line. Email reaches a person, and an owner enquiry is easier to answer in writing anyway.
Three things a Utah listing should carry
- Width mirror to mirror. Zion refuses anything over 7 ft 10 in and counts mirrors, and only 80 of 610 listings here publish one.
- Height including roof fittings. 86 listings publish a height, and the field mixes decimal feet with feet and inches, so state your units.
- Gross vehicle weight rating. At 14,001 lbs or more, Utah Code 59-12-1201(5)(a) exempts the rental from 9.5 points of tax, which is a reason a renter picks your vehicle over the next one.
