Terms of Service

These terms follow a trip from the first search to the drive home, because each step puts you under a different set of rules. Only the first and the last steps are this site's. By using saltlakecityrvrental.com you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the site.

When you search

Salt Lake City RV Rental is a finder. It reads park and road rules from primary sources, measures the RV rentals listed on Outdoorsy within 50 miles of downtown Salt Lake City, and points you at listings that fit the parks you are actually driving to.

It owns no RVs and employs no drivers. It does not deliver, stage, hand over, clean or recover a vehicle. It takes no bookings, holds no deposits, processes no payments and cannot issue a refund. It is not affiliated with Outdoorsy, RVshare, the National Park Service, the Utah Office of Tourism, the Utah Department of Transportation or the Utah State Tax Commission.

Every market figure here comes from one measurement of 610 listings taken on 18 September 2026. On that day the published day rates ran from $30 to $1,795, with a median of $165. Rates, availability and listings change daily, and park rules change between seasons. A figure on this site is a reading with a date on it, not a price you can hold anyone to. The listing and the park's own page are what count on the day you book.

When you click through to a listing

Links to Outdoorsy and RVshare on this site are affiliate links. If you book after following one, the marketplace may pay this site a commission. The marketplace pays it, and this site adds nothing to your price. These links are marked as sponsored in the page code.

Once you land on a marketplace you are on its website, under its terms and its privacy policy, not these. Outdoorsy's are at outdoorsy.com/help/outdoorsy-terms-of-service. This site does not see what you do there, and it cannot change a listing, a price or a booking.

When you book with a host

Your rental is a contract between you and the host who owns the vehicle, made on the marketplace. This site is not a party to it. Driver age, licence and history requirements, the security deposit, cancellation and refunds, mileage, generator hours, pets and cleaning fees are all set by the host and the marketplace and printed on the listing. Questions about any of them go to the host through the listing, or to Outdoorsy.

On the licence question in Utah: Utah Code 53-3-102(7)(b)(iv) exempts recreational vehicles driven as personal conveyances from the commercial vehicle definition, while the Utah Driver Handbook describes a Class D licence as covering personal vehicles up to 26,000 pounds. Utah publishes no sentence resolving the two for a motorhome above that weight. Confirm with the Driver License Division before you book a heavy unit.

What you may do with the vehicle is set by the rental agreement. The clause that matters most in Utah is the paved road clause. The National Park Service writes that most vehicle rental agreements restrict vehicles to paved roads, that the rental company can charge you for damage outside the contract, and that people caught in the backcountry with a disabled vehicle can expect towing fees in excess of $2,000. Read the agreement before you turn onto a graded road.

Whether the unit fits your route is for you and the host to confirm. Since 7 June 2026 the National Park Service has turned oversize vehicles around at Zion's East Entrance rather than escorting them through the tunnel. The single vehicle limits are 35 feet 9 inches long, 7 feet 10 inches wide, 11 feet 4 inches high and 50,000 pounds, mirrors and attachments included. This site publishes the measurements it can source, and it accepts no liability for a vehicle refused entry, turned around, ticketed or damaged.

Protection plans and roadside assistance on eligible bookings come from Outdoorsy at checkout, with the deductibles and exclusions in the plan. Utah's 2.5% short term rental tax under Utah Code 59-12-1201(2)(a)(i), and Salt Lake County's 7% on top, are collected by the marketplace. Neither coverage nor tax passes through this site, and nothing here confirms either.

When you use our tools and data

The trip cost calculator and the guides work from the dated figures above and the sources they name. Their answers are estimates for planning, not quotes. Where a source is silent, or two official sources disagree, the page says so rather than choosing a number. Nothing on this site is legal, tax or insurance advice.

A form you send here, whether a rental request, an owner enquiry or a contact message, is emailed to the people who run this site. It is not passed to a host or to Outdoorsy automatically, and it does not hold dates or reserve a vehicle. What is kept and why is in the privacy policy. This site has no phone line, so nothing here should be read as an offer to call you back on one.

You may quote a figure from this site with a link back to the page it came from. Do not republish pages wholesale or present this site's measurements as your own. Listing photos and descriptions belong to the hosts and the marketplace. Do not send false or automated submissions through the forms, try to get round the site's security, or scrape it at a rate that slows it for anyone else.

Links to park, state and marketplace websites are there so you can check the source. This site does not control those websites and is not responsible for what they say or do.

The legal basics

No warranty. The site is provided as it is, without any promise that it is complete, current or available at any given moment.

Limitation of liability. Salt Lake City RV Rental provides information and referral links. To the fullest extent permitted by law it is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from use of this site, from a booking made with a host or a marketplace, or from reliance on a figure published here. You pay this site nothing for access to it, so where liability cannot be excluded by law it is limited to the amount you have paid this site, which is zero.

Indemnification. You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Salt Lake City RV Rental and its operators from any claim, damage or expense arising from your use of this site, your rental agreement with a host, or your breach of these terms.

Governing law. These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, without regard to its conflict of law rules, and any dispute arising out of them or out of your use of this site shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Salt Lake County, Utah.

Changes. These terms may change. A change takes effect when it is posted here, and the date at the top of the page changes with it. Using the site after a change means you accept it.
